I had a great experience at Lodge In the City. the staff were awesome and understanding when we accidentally overslept. the rooms were clean and cozy, with comfortable beds. the location was convenient, just a short walk from Cuba Street. the free WiFi was a plus. I had a pleasant stay and would recommend it to friends and family. Cons: Everything was fantastic! 😊.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Excellent location, felt comfortable getting around the city after only a day. Self-contained kitchen was completely adequate, could cook most dinners on the little portable stove top and had most cooking utensils. The 5 person apartment was a great size for eating and socialising, didn't feel cramped at all.

The heaters kept the room very warm but could not be turned off - we got very dehydrated overnight. Bunk beds weren't too comfortable. Sink got blocked on the first night, dirty dishwater took all night to drain.

Nothing, window glass not sealed. Kitchen not very good specially when kids are around. You can not cook properly because of poor appliances. Self-contained room not in good standard. Drawers, cupboards, I think everything in the room needs to be replaced. Sorry for making this comment but the lodge needs to be at par with the other lodges that with visited. Sad to say your lodge is not recommendable.

For the price we paid, we got exactly what we expected - a comfortable twin bunk room with a great mattress. The location was perfect, just a short walk from Cuba St, and the staff were pleasant and helpful.

Breakfast delights, just wish there were more vegetarian options.

The location was very centrick - 5-10 minutes to the seafront, papa museum and all places of interest. The room was basic but ok if you dont have a lot of money but dont want to stay in the dorm with other people this is the right option for you.

I would prefer to have the wifi in the room. I had to go down to the lobby and common area to have connection. But I cant complaint as it was on the website.

The location was handy to town but so is all the budget accommodation in Wellington.

Two of the three showers didn't work on the floor I stayed on and were in an unclean and dated state. Definitely not worth the money, stay at another budget accommodation if you can.

I got great value for my money at this hostel - affordable and in a central location. The room I stayed in was nice, spacious, and comfortable. The staff were polite and helpful throughout my stay.

The morning meal could be improved with more variety and options.
